eHELPED-iT Consortium meets in Klaipėda

The second Transnational Project Meeting of the Erasmus+ project Electronic Health Literacy Perspectives, Education and Digital Tools (eHELPED-iT) was successfully held in Klaipėda on 18–19 March 2026. The meeting brought together representatives of the international consortium to review the progress of the project and coordinate the next stages of implementation focused on improving electronic health literacy (eHL) in higher education.

The event was hosted by Klaipėdos valstybinė kolegija and gathered partner institutions from across Europe, including “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, University of Cyprus, Medical University-Sofia, Akademia Humanistyczno-Ekonomiczna w Łodzi, and University of Zadar.

The purpose of the meeting was to evaluate the implementation of the project’s work packages, monitor the achievement of key indicators, and discuss future educational and dissemination activities. Particular attention was dedicated to the development of the eHL Web Platform, including multilingual translations, accessibility improvements, and student self-assessment functionalities designed to support digital health literacy skills among medical and allied health students.

Participants also focused on the development of the eHL Curriculum, an innovative educational resource that will be piloted internationally through interactive learning activities, practical exercises, and collaborative teaching methods. Discussions addressed curriculum structure, internal testing procedures, accessibility formats such as audio and Braille versions, and preparations for the upcoming international Learning, Teaching and Training activity scheduled for October 2026.

In addition, the consortium reviewed dissemination and communication activities, including workshops, webinars, newsletters, academic publications, social media campaigns, and stakeholder engagement initiatives aimed at increasing awareness of electronic health literacy at both national and international levels.

The meeting concluded with the establishment of future deadlines, quality assurance measures, and coordination plans to ensure the successful continuation of the project. The next Transnational Project Meeting is planned to take place in Bulgaria in December 2026.

Through international cooperation and interdisciplinary collaboration, the eHELPED-iT project continues to contribute to innovation in higher education by promoting accessible digital tools, inclusive educational resources, and enhanced electronic health literacy competencies for future healthcare professionals.
