1. Who are we?

The eHL Web Platform is a result of the Erasmus+ international project 2024-1-RO01-KA220-HED-000254430. The Consortium of Partners contributing to this web platform is made up of 6 countries: Romania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Lithuania and Poland. The data controller responsible for your personal data is Katerina Petsa, from University of Cyprus and Raluca Gheorghe from “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest.

2. How and why we collect your personal data?

A. Registration and Account creation

When you register and create an account, we collect certain personal data. Your explicit consent is necessary, in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.

Your personal data will be collected according to the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation- GDPR), according to the protocol and be stored in a protected database.

Information will remain confidential and will not be made public, except under conditions specified by the laws or regulations. In the database, no reference to your name, IP address or other data that could reveal your identity, will be mentioned anywhere. The access to your private information, if you provide any, will be limited, and only the members of the Consortium will handle it.

B. Cookies

If you have an account and you log into the eHL Web Platform, we will set up several cookies to save your login information. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

3. With whom do we share your data?

Your anonymous data is shared within the Consortium of the project and, if needed, with the funding representative, namely the European Commission. Also, data provided may also be presented in scientific articles, conferences, reports, or books in aggregated, anonymized form. No personal data will be shared outside the Consortium without explicit consent.

4. Data retention

For the users who register on the eHL Web Platform, we store the provided personal information in their user profile on an unlimited period of time, but all users can change their personal profile anytime, as well as delete their accounts.

5. What rights do you have over your data?

If you have an account on the eHL Web Platform, you can request to delete any personal information we stored about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

6. Where do we send your data?

Nowhere. Your data will be stored in a secured database under the careful supervision of the Partner from Cyprus.

7. How do we protect your data?

The data collected on the eHL Web Platform is transferred to a database, using an encrypted (HTTPS) protocol, ensuring no risk of this data being accessible by third parties.

Consent for eHL Platform Use

By registering on the eHL Web Platform, you confirm that:

• You have read and understood this privacy notice and how your information will be stored and used.
• You consent to the collection and processing of your personal data for participation in the platform and research activities.
• You voluntarily agree to self-administer the questionnaires (eHEALS, IPP-30, GSES, perceived source credibility) and provide socio-demographic data.
• You agree that anonymized data from these questionnaires may be used for scientific research, publications, reports, or conferences.
